Born and raised in San Antonio, Judith moved eighty miles north to attend college. Like so many others, she immediately fell in love with the city's vibrant energy. From more than thirty years in the Texas Capital, Judith has enjoyed so much of what this great center of government, culture, and technology has to offer.
Judith is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, holding a BBA in Accounting from the School of Business (now the McCombs School of Business) and a BA in Economics from the College of Liberal Arts.
After becoming a certified public accountant (CPA), Judith wanted to pursue her interest in real estate and a natural fit was to transition to a career in mortgage loans. Underwriting guidelines came as second nature after learning accounting principles. As a loan officer, her interest in real estate intensified and she learned valuable skills relevant to the financial side of the industry.
Soon thereafter, Judith became a full-time real estate agent. Judith’s business background offers a unique approach to each transaction, setting her apart from her competition. Her attention to detail, analytical skills, and three-dimensional understanding of the industry result in higher satisfaction for her clients. Her 24 years of experience as a Realtor have provided many opportunities to hone her skills, allowing her to add more value to each of her clients.
The designations she has acquired are client-centric, making her a stronger advocate and better realtor for her clients.
Below is a list of her designations and how they help her clients:
Certified Public Accountant: as a CPA, Judith maintains an acute awareness of the financial workings of the transaction. Employing this background allows her to approach the real estate transaction from a business and financial perspective in serving her clients. This background allows her to identify when her clients need advice from other professionals. For example, referrals to tax professionals for capital gains advice, 1031 exchange professionals for tax implications on investment property, and other financial advisors that would be relevant to the transaction.
Certified Residential Specialist: CRS agents are among the top 3% of agents nationwide. A CRS has completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate. In addition, residential real estate continuing education is required to maintain the designation, so this is one way Judith is keeping up with the trends and innovations in real estate.
Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist: The CLHMS™ designation is earned by Institute Members with documented sales performance in the top 10% of their market.
Members of The Institute are real estate professionals who have undergone extensive luxury home sales and marketing training to enhance and fine-tune the competencies necessary to meet the needs of today’s affluent buyers and sellers.
Pricing Strategy Certification: This certification allows real estate professionals to improve their skills in pricing residential properties, creating and presenting comparative marketing analyses (CMAs), explaining pricing recommendations, and dispelling buyers’ and sellers’ misperceptions and anxieties about pricing strategies. In addition, it provides a means for keeping up to date with market developments and working with appraisers. Pricing a home, whether buying or selling, is critical to the transaction, so Judith has pursued this expertise to help her clients with this ever-important pricing skill.
Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE): Through continued education, Judith has earned her MCNE designation. In any sales transaction, negation skills are paramount for a successful transaction; with MCNE experience, Judith will lend her expertise to your transaction. Judith says negotiating is one of the aspects of the transaction she enjoys the most because it is an area where her expertise allows her to advocate for her clients and help them achieve their goals in the transaction.
She is an award-winning Realtor receiving the Texas Monthly 5 Star Award many times. In 2013 Judith was named Realtor of the Year by the Austin Board of Realtors.
She has served the Real Estate industry holding various positions at all levels of the Realtor association, namely Chairman of the Austin Board of Realtors in 2011, Regional Vice President at the Texas Association of Realtors and a National Association of Realtors Director.
Judith has been married to Paul Bundschuh since 1994 and has lived in Austin all her adult life. She has two sons who are each the apple of her eye. Eric is 29, and Matthew is 25. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, trying new recipes, and loves, loves dogs!
